Municipal Bargaining surveys -next steps

[Jun 21, 2011 01:47 PM] Thank you to all of the municipal members at ,City of North Van , District of North Van ,Village of lions bay, North Van rec , City Library , District Library , Northlands Golf course. We sent the surveys out at the end of May , due to pending postal strike we delivered them to work sites , the deadline to turn in surveys was friday ,June 17th , members are still dropping surveys off at union office, Your reps will be going over the surveys at the end of this week ,so that we can have a sense of our common proposals ready to discuss with other CUPE presidents at an all presidents meeting next week . There will be a meeting scheduled in September for ratifying Bargaining proposals from the surveys and at this meeting members have the ability to add new proposals for consideration. Our collective agreements expire on December 31st of 2011 and we are already meeting with other local Presidents in discussing the coordination for the next round of Municipal Bargaining.
